One of baseball’s top 10 prospects was suspended 50 games for a drug violation - CBSSports.com

What’s interesting here is MLB in the release didn’t specify what exactly the suspension is for. Generally, if it’s a “drug of abuse” suspension (such as marijuana) or a PED, the league says so. In the Whitley release, the league was vague. Perhaps there will be more news on this front in the coming days.

Based on the length of suspension I think it has to be either a "drug of abuse" or a stimulant. The suspension for a "Performance Enhancing Substance" would be 80 games rather than 50.

Apparently the reports are that he was given a stimulant by a friend in order to stay awake for a long overnight drive, and that's what popped up on his test.

So we thought we'd do the same with our headline.
