12 games, one day (we don’t get 15 games because we can’t have nice things). Aces of varying quality on the mound. 162 games to October. Buckle up.

Iannetta again!

base hit by iannetta (sp?) who drives in 2 in the top of the 13th

that was a great at bat

The Angels really need this game to end. The bench is empty, so if someone gets hurt, Jerome Williams may have to play some defense.

Chris Ianetta is the greatest Angel of 2013.

chris heisey swung at a pitch for strike 3 that almost bonked him in the chin

I think dale scott called that strike 3 to get out of the cold

Finally! Whew. 1 down, 161 to go.

Justin upton looks good to go this season

3 homers from 3 different guys is hopefully something the Braves will see more than once this season.

Well that took awhile. Switched to the Braves just in time for some Upton power.
   311. Gamingboy Posted: April 01, 2013 at 09:04 PM (#4401656)
Yes, but how GRITTY was that home run? It wasn't GRITTY enough.

Oh god damn it we're back to this refresh double post thing?

I know he's not a particularly good player when defense is taken into account, but Chris Johnson just looks like a good hitter. Calm, stable stance, bat in that high, threatening position, short swing.

I'm also rather stunned that, according to BB-Ref, this is the only "Chris Johnson" to ever play in the bigs.

Ha. Charlie Manuel replaced his pitcher before the Braves' announced their pinch hitter, so the Braves pulled back the PH and get to use him later in the game.

Phillies turned a 1-6-4-3 Double Play but a run scored.

At a glance, Phillies gonna stink, Braves gonna be tough. Book it!

When did it end? (this is a test as I haven't made that mistake in a while).

On the plus side for the Phillies, Utley looked really good. Howard, on the other hand, seems pretty toasty.

Regular Season Craig Kimbrel has shown up, as opposed to Game 162 Craig Kimbrel or WBC Craig Kimbrel.

Not really. Only one strikeout. He's way behind the pace.
   322. frannyzoo Posted: April 01, 2013 at 10:23 PM (#4401712)
It's your Three True Outcomes 2013 Mariners, folks. So far...4 Ks and a walk.

Yeah, but at least it ended with his team winning.

So the Cardinals are getting a lot for their money, aren't they?
   325. Dan Posted: April 02, 2013 at 03:19 PM (#4402190)
No chatter for today's games? I guess technically it's still Opening Day for most of the teams who are playing today, including the Orioles-Rays who are on now.

Orioles up 2-0 after Wieters just hit a 2 run homer off of Price.

Oh thanks. I'm blind I guess.

Also Edinson Volquez looks heavier than he did in the past, though this may be an effect of his haircut.

Anyone know how he ended up with "Edinson"?

I knew a guy named "Edsole". His dad liked the car, the Edsel, but didn't know how to spell it. Not a promising beginning.
