And NBC is not showing it live. Why, so they can show a 5 minute highlight tonight?
Yeah, yeah, I know, internet streaming. But since I don't want my browser crashing every 5 minutes, that's out.
The unfamiliar horse thing makes the 3rd event in Modern Pentathlon fascinating. I'm of belief that the horses are racist, given who I've seen them buck.
I will say that NBC's streaming has gotten BETTER this second week. Not perfect, but not crashing every five minutes.
It crashes for me every single time they go to commercial.
I think that's the Nordic combined, where your XC start time is determined by your finish in the jumps. Biathlon just makes you ski a penalty lap for every target missed.

What was the pool of big men for the USA to choose from with Howard & Bosh out? Chandler was suppose to be the rim protector, but today his play didn't adjust well to the refs and Spain's size.
I guess Bynum would have been a better choice, no idea if he was interested or even considered.
and the US did lose dwight howard and chris bosh and blake griffin. you could probably make an argument that all 3 would have been chosen over the 3 bigs the US actually brought (chandler, love, and davis). they were also playing without derrick rose.
though it should be noted that spain was playing without ricky rubio, and that was probably a bigger loss than any of the players who weren't on the US roster.
Perhaps, but with a healthy Howard, Spain would have had trouble breaking 75 today.

according to tv listings it was on this morning ...
so i just happened to turn on the tv just now (3pm in los angeles) to see what was being shown, and they are showing a tape delay of the marathon. that wasn't even in the tv listings.
jeez, i hate NBC. i know i could watch it streaming, but i can't remember our damn password for our provider, and my g.f. is not here.
