i estimate that absolutely noone gives a damn about the NHL, so by folding that thread into this one, we won’t distract from what this thread is really about: boner pills, blood doping (is it low t?), and…jesus christ did mike vick just throw another ####### interception?

Actually, I think given they're down by three scores in the Super Bowl, now's a good time to start throwing everything against the wall, including time outs. Right now, yards and time are worth more than a time out.

They wanted Alex Smith in because Kapernick had never been in this situation before. "This situation" was later clarified as being down big in the Super Bowl after they realized he had been down big in the NFCCG.

Stuff like that only happens to the NFL. If there were a blackout in the middle of Game 7 of the World Series, the next inning there'd be a 10-run frame against a pitcher brought in because the starter got freezed out.

Maybe later in the game. I don't generally like going for two with this much time left to play unless you don't expect many more points to be scored. I expect more points to be scored.

BTW, it's worth pointing out in Ray Lewis's final game that the Baltimore defense has utterly collapsed here in the second half. Oh, irony.

Not mentioned (and barely noticed) about that Moss reception is that instead of just stepping out of bounds, he turned his shoulder and hit the tackler coming from the front side. If the tackler had been lazy and assumed he was going out of bounds, he might have caught him off-guard and been able to add a couple more yards.

Ten seconds into the second half this was looking like it would turn into one of the more boring, lopsided blowouts in recent Superbowl history.

Now it has a good chance to go down as one of the most interesting championship games in years. Who knew?
