Alabama Is still Ranked #1. Will they hold steady to repeat? Make it to the title game? Or does another team claim the Crystal ball in Miami in January.

A minute and change to go in the half, strong armed QB and downfield threat. The deep ball was so predictable. QB under threw it, but blame the play calling too.

I don't think they're tanking. I just think they're not playing 100%. I think they'd be doing that regardless - there's not much separating Oregon and Stanford, and if anything I actually think UCLA matches up better with Oregon.

I am happier about this than I should be. Miss St. being ranked for most of the season has really bothered me (because I am a weirdo, I suppose) and I'm happy they won't finish the season that way.

The refs are KILLING Clemson right now. Two completely bogus PI calls on this drive.

Edit: Pick in the end zone for Clemson! What a play. This game is awesome.

Or Baylor is, having close losses against Oklahoma, Texas and West Virginia with Oklahoma State still to play. Ole Miss has an impressive tough loss resume, but Baylor's actually beaten someone ranked.

My point is that after beating Kansas State by 28, people who aren't serious college football fans have seen and/or think they're pretty solid this year. Baylor is better than Ole Miss, but Baylor is "somebody" now. Arizona State is another team that people probably didn't/don't realize is a pretty good team.

I think you're right. It just shows how far the top of the conference has to go to be nationally elite. And for some reason we will get to see both of them in the preseason top 10 next year.

Sucks that Virginia Tech looked like crap this year. Alabama's opening game is against Virginia Tech, kind of nice to have a big opening type game.

I think they are playing a bit conservative in the red zone tonight because they know USC isn't going to be able to put up points. They have 379 yards to USC's 152 so far. They've been pretty dominating tonight.

Edit: That said, of course they will have trouble moving the ball against those two defenses. They aren't an elite offense.

I don't disagree, especially right now as USC looks like they are about to close it up. They've kicked field goals on 4th and 6 twice, 4th and 4, and 4th and 2. I have to think they go for at least one of those, probably two, under different circumstances. Maybe the pressure is getting to Kelly.

Champ Bailey was great but that's going back a ways. To hold that against a player is completely unfair.

As a Georgia fan, it's probably pretty convenient to ride the coat tails of Alabama or the SEC. But Notre Dame has looked better and played better than Georgia this year. And ND/Georgia is probably the country's best hope to hear the stop of SEC chest puffing.

A UGA/ND title game would give me migraines.

Totally right. I thought he was a senior. He was a lot better his sophomore year. He will be better next year or there will be a different QB. Green-Beckham looks like a heck of a ballplayer too. And I respect Pinkel as a coach, he's good at what he does.

For a team that has been running the ball down USC's throat all day, they sure have struggled in the red zone. Not sure why you call two QB runs and then a fade that he clearly isn't capable of hitting there. Use your really good backs Kelly!

If Alabama wins the SEC Championship, they should play UF for the BCS Championship. If UGA beats Bama, they should play Oregon.
