PB Post: Will Scott Olsen Learn his Lessons?

Come on down!...and read about Johnny

Scott Olsen…

Olsen, who is entering his third full season in the majors, said he has given himself some new personal guidelines. “Be more careful, be more cautious, make smart decisions, don’t put yourself in situations where you think you might get in trouble,’’ he said. “I don’t necessarily think I’ve changed at all. It’s just, make smarter decisions. It was one night where things went wrong. There’s nothing really to change.’‘

Olsen is reminded that it wasn’t just one night, but also the two-game suspension earlier in the week last July. “OK,” he said, “so two nights.”

...“I’m really good at game shows,’’ he said. “Really good. Deal or No Deal is one of the best. Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? might be the funniest show on TV. But Drew Carey hosting The Price is Right is terrible. They should have stopped the show when Bob Barker retired.’‘

“I’d love to be a game-show host,’’ he said before quickly reconsidering the idea. “Maybe not. I’m too blunt to be a game-show host. If someone said something stupid, I couldn’t put on that smiling face and just laugh.”

"It was one night where things went wrong. There’s nothing really to change.’’

Based on this, I'm going to say the answer to the headline is "no".

“Be more careful, be more cautious, make smart decisions, don’t put yourself in situations where you think you might get in trouble,’’

More resolutions, here.

In other words, Don't get caught.

This might work in high school, but as a MLB'er, the spotlight is a lot brighter

I don't know whether Olsen will learn his lesson, but I learned mine: do not draft Scott Olsen in fantasy baseball.

I would rather read about Scott Walker than Scott Olsen.

WHO'S WITH ME? CAN I GET AN "THE OLD MAN'S BACK AGAIN" FROM ANYONE HERE? A "BIG LOUISE"? HELL YEAH!!

I don't think he is smarter than a 5th grader.
