pain for a baseball fan can really be like:
1972, 1974, 1975, 1977, 1978, 1986, 1991(Reardon to Kelly), 1996, 2003...blah blah blah.
In other words, Cubs fans are the toughest fans in baseball?
at least compared to this guy. I mean seriously being crushed by this season as a Mets fan? I mean the injuries are enough to say "well, if we are at all close in the standings we should be happy" (of course I'm hoping that the Mets make the playoffs with injuries and a crappy record and get healthy at the right time and listen to their fans complain that they aren't getting respected by the post season pundits because their record doesn't represent their true team....etc.)
Pretty much explains it.
The Jerk Store called. They are out of you.
I dunno, people at least let Cubs fans feel sorry for themselves. Mets fans like the guy in the article routinely get told to STFU - in the eyes of others they don't even have the freedom to self-loathe.
How tf did you become a Red Sox fan? I ask the same of Yankees fans who grew up in this area.
