Posada is ejected, could be suspended

Here is Posada’s defense:

‘‘I never spit on him. I was talking. If I spit when I was talking, I’m sorry, but I didn’t intend to do that,’’ said Posada.

I believe Posada was simply asking the ump if there was a pledge pin on his uniform.
