Pray For The Tigers At Special Service Tonight

Fr. Steven J. Kelly is holding his annual “Pray Here for the Tigers” service at 6 p.m.

They’re praying for everyone from the players, to the vendors, to the owners, to the fans.

“ With a couple of hymns, a couple of readings — the service will last about 25 minutes and it’s open to the public. Kelly said it’s a fun service that ends with a rousing rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.”

But, does God really care about the Tigers?

Kelly said he hopes God cares more about them than the Yankees.

Wait…I thought God cared more about the weak?

Pray for the bullpen, at least. (Phil Coke, I hate you. Again.)

If the Tigers win, starving children in North Korea will be sent an autographed picture of Miguel Cabrera, a napkin and a fork.

Why - was he playing in the outfield when nobody bothered to catch a sac fly?

The winning "double" should have been caught.

This is awesome.

They should probably be praying a little harder though.

In a statement, God responded: "I already blessed these guys with athletic talent in the upper .01 percentile and the ability to earn incredible sums of money by exploiting their talent. Don't push Me."
