A word of advice: Do not mess with the Birthday Team's fourth starter. His big brother has been known to beat the holy living crap out of people.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

Paulie Konerko back to the White Sox. As a player, not a coach.

Has this been the busiest pre-new-year hot stove period ever?
I can't believe how many players are moving around right now.

Great Tweet by Ricky Oropesa of the Giants with a pic showing Cano and Granderson's reaction to the Ellsbury contract.

Tigers have called a 3:30 Presser. Probably to announce they've traded Miguel Cabrera to the Yankees for prospects.

Or to the A's, for a package including Brett Anderson?
He asked, hopefully.

Obviously Cabrera has expressed displeasure at the notion of being moved to first base, and therefore the stage was set for today's trade of Cabrera for Ryan Howard and Cody Asche.

OAK - Indy League star P Andrew Werner

I saw one of that guy's starts with the Padres. He looks both completely unathletic and completely unimposing. This is common for hitters (see Matt Adams) but stood out for a guy who goes out to the mound inning after inning. He's like an overweight Kirk Reuter.
