Maybe MLB teams who shafted shafted FA this year can contribute 15 million each to a new stadiun for the Rays instead of going to tax payers.

In return Rays get less revenue sharing dollars

If I read it right, it's even skeezier than it sounds. If they build him a stadium, if they line up a $250 M naming rights contract and then if they give him that money, then he might pay $400 M towards a stadium instead of $150.

So what you're saying is somewhere out there is a successful business man with $150m burning a hole in his pocket who'd like to take the load off the taxpayers in exchange for 8300 fans per night seeing his name in lights. Intriguing concept. I sure hope laying it out here in the press like this makes it more likely he'll increase his offer instead of asking for the taxpayers to foot more of the bill so he could get a lower advertising rate.
