Not surprising for Devers. The more surprising thing is that the Red Sox hit 2! homers in one game....let the good times roll.

When I was a kid I could reel off many of the guys that did this. Will Clark was a fun one- homered in his first at-bat off Nolan Ryan.

Hey, I'd be happy to see the Yankees trade the seasoned veteran Todd Frazier for him. Frazier not only also hit a home run yesterday, but he can even hit into productive triple plays. Let's see Devers do that.

True.

Looking for guys with at least 75% games at third, the Red Sox had a pair of good players from the first year of the AL to near the end of the Ruth era. Jimmy Collins had 28 WAR from 1901-07 and Larry Gardner 30.4 from 1908-17. The only others in team history with 15+ WAR are Boggs (71.6) and Frank Malzone (17).

And Frazier could strike out six times in a single at bat, if he thought that'd give the next batter more time to use the bathroom. They don't call him Mr. Intangibles for nothing.
