Reeves: Michael Young’s Gold Glove may help keep him at shortstop for the Texas Rangers

Fear not…the Media Research Center has been contacted about Jim Reeves for their “Quote Of The Year” contest.

Young beat out three multiple Gold Glove-winning shortstops for the award this year — Derek Jeter with three and Orlando Cabrera and Edgar Renteria with two each — and should at least temporarily quiet those who criticize his range.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why Gold Gloves kill people. Specifically, me. It's totally causal. After I've done myself in because my team used ####### Gold Glove voting to justify personnel management, you can all blame the GMs. Stop Gold Glove voting before it hurts someone you love (not me, someone you love.)

But why worry, that Gold Glove's worth a lot of dough
And you can tell your patient backup he'll have to go.
