1. Guapo Posted: May 09, 2012 at 03:49 PM (#4127567)I'm more bothered about Daniel Bard in that game. He's the guy that seemed like the obvious choice to me.
...or had just finished a side order of wings.
This from a Pete Abe thing on May 7 (Monday).
"He threw today and said he felt fine and ready to go," Bobby Valentine said.
Beckett had his last start skipped because of a strained lat muscle on the right side of his back.
Valentine was asked why Beckett didn't pitch in yesterday's 17-inning game. He said only that pitching coach Bob McClure was "taking roll call."
So he pitched his side session on Monday. Great. Thanks, Josh.
