Clutch indeed, since he managed this with only 67 HR. I'm surprised to read this since I would have expected to read something about a guy averaging 600 RBI a season. It just goes to show that if you look around there are good hitters not getting the PAs...

The thing that makes that error even funnier is that they wrote it 2,999; THEY PUT THE COMMA IN, 2999 is much more understandable than 2,999. Whoever edited that column has probably never seen a baseball game, and it must be their style to include commas, so the editor just edited it without thinking. As someone who used to write for a regional newspaper, gaffes like this crack me up every time.
