Surprised Otani ranks so high.

Does Acuna have a chance at being on the big league club on opening day?

I would guess he needs 2 weeks to work on his defense.

Not a good sign for Meadows that he fell all the way out of the top 10.

He’d have to beat holy hell out of the ball to break camp in Atlanta rather than Gwinnett. He’ll be up by May or so, but not opening day.

He sure gets hurt a lot. As Bill James has said, being injury-free is a skill, and Meadows injuries seem to be bad enough that they involve a lot of time out, and then a month of playing poorly while you get your batting eye and shape back. I hope he has a healthy 2018 and turns out to be great.

#2, 3, 5: Super-2 threshold is usually around end May, early June so I'll guess we see him then unless maybe he's OPS'ing 1200 and the Braves think they can compete.

#1: Maybe it's a reminder how quickly top 10 by position lists become unexciting.'s list: Robles, Jimenez, Acuna, Ohtani, Tucker, Brinson, Meadows, Robert, Verdugo, Taveras. They have Soto at #37 (Taveras 28) and Hays at #89 overall.

Interesting that separates RHP from LHP but not CF from corner OF.

7. Lewis Brinson, Brewers MARLINS

To the Marlins for Christian Yelich. Looks like Miami got the Brewers #s 1, 6, & 14 prospects, plus a throw-in, by MLB Pipeline.
