First off, another injury has cropped up: Second baseman Mark Ellis has missed three of the past four games with a sore right knee. Ellis said he has no idea how the initial injury occurred, probably on a dive, but he’s tried to play through it and “it’s still really swollen,’’ he said.
On Monday, third baseman Eric Chavez told reporters he’d have more information in two days about the triceps tendinitis that has given him trouble lately, but Wednesday, Chavez said he has been asked not to discuss his injuries.

On Friday, Justin Duchscherer will visit Dr. Thomas Byrd, who performed Jason Isringhausen’s hip surgery last September. Duchscherer said that he does not believe his own problem (an arthritic right hip) is much like Isringhausen’s.
...
The A’s obtained outfielder Dee Brown from Arizona for cash considerations and assigned him to Triple-A Sacramento.
So what’s Dee Brown’s injury? He’s got to have one, right? He is an OFer acquired by Oakland after all…

Hey, at least give the guy a couple games.
The A's team OPS+ has crept up to 98 now, and with Bradley back in there their lineup actually looks decent. Except for Kendall of course.
Speaking of Kendall, who's going to catch next year?
Kurt Suzuki, hopefully, though he's down to .269/.343/.363 in Sacramento.
Freddie Bynum?
Not even a plague of locusts can stop the A's from their annual second half run!
Thanks Danny. So Suzuki is considered... decent? It would be near impossible to hit, or throw, worse than Kendall. And Kendall is making what, $12M? Though I suppose the Pirates are paying some of it. Losing that albatross contract should be very helpful.
No chance of Daric Barton going back to catcher I guess?
