SF Examiner: Muni adds shuttle buses for World Series-bound fans

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency said it wants to help the tens of thousands of fans expected to swarm downtown get to the game faster by running special shuttle buses to supplement regular service.

The SFMTA, which operates San Francisco Municipal Railway, is encouraging baseball fans to take Muni, taxis, walk or bike to Third and King streets.

Eight Muni Metro “baseball shuttles” will carry passengers along the N-Judah and T-Third light-rail lines.

The additional service will begin three hours before the games — the first pitches for Games 1 and 2 are scheduled for 4:57 p.m.
