The 65-year-old GM displayed a sense of humor regarding the Smoltz “homeboy” comment.

“You can call me ‘HB.’ I’ll know what it means,” Schuerholz said, laughing, then he pounded on his left chest with his right hand and said, “Word”.

Heh..I found this funny, but the reason I linked to this was to discuss the salary crunch which the Braves are going to face this offseason.
laroche is probably due a 3mil raise..Giles is due another big raise, Andruw is looking for a big contract. We already have Chipper, Hampton and Hudson signed for big ones..Horacio is going to get an arb rise too. Something has to give here.
Also are we just going to pick up Smoltz's option or exchange it for 2 yr deal with option?

Personally I think Andruw is gone..
