Nice extension, pretty boy!
SNY, the television home of the New York Mets, and its critically acclaimed baseball analyst Keith Hernandez, have agreed to a multi-year contract extension. With this new extension, Hernandez will make more than 110 appearances in the broadcast booth in 2008. In addition to his game analysis, Hernandez will continue to contribute to SNY’s Mets pre- and post-game shows, as well as the network’s website www.sny.tv. Hernandez will join Kevin Burkhardt on the Feb. 11 edition of SNY’s Mets Hot Stove show, where he will discuss his return to the booth, and the 2008 Mets. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Keith is one of the elite analysts in baseball, and we’re excited to continue our relationship with him,” said Curt Gowdy, Jr., Senior Vice President of Production and Executive Producer. “His candid analysis and unique perspective of the game make him one of the most entertaining broadcasters in all of sports. He is the perfect compliment to Gary and Ron—forming baseball’s top broadcast booth.”

1. MNB Posted: February 11, 2008 at 08:54 PM (#2688263)I loved Clyde Frazier on the radio 15 years ago, but I'm sick of him now.
That's what I love most about him. The man loves to eat and drink. I'm glad they gave him an extension.
Well played.
As opposed to Mr. Gray.
I hope you're not questionating Clyde's verbal omnipitude and speechifying prowess. His skilliosity in rhetoricatin' is not to be obfuscated.
I'd also like the Mets to consider giving Piazza a broadcasting role when he retires... he's going to get a job somewhere and I'd like him to remain part of the Met family.
