He started his first game at 3B last night, and made a nice over-the-shoulder catch in foul territory for the 3rd out of the inning.
He's got the biggest discrepancy between talent/popularity on the Blue Jays, and probably in all the American League.
He's not no power (but has a decent average and used to draw walks), his fielding is good but not great, and yet he's easily the #3 most popular player on the team (behind Bautista and Lawrie).
The media loves him, the fans love him, and it seems the other players enjoy having him around.

theres quite a few blue jay fans here in toronto that i know who hate lawrie, encarnation and reyes both seem more popular

Lawrie's attitude and talent have both outstripped his performance. The fact that he seems to get hurt on a daily basis doesn't help either.
