MLB.com: Iguchi heading to disabled list

Second baseman Tadahito Iguchi suffered a separated right shoulder in the seventh inning of the Padres’ 2-1 victory over the Mets at PETCO Park on Thursday night.

Iguchi fell on his right shoulder trying to evade Kevin Kouzmanoff’s ground ball in the hole between second and third base. He landed on the right shoulder as he neared third base.

He’ll officially be placed on the 15-day disabled list on Friday. “It could be four weeks at the minimum,” Padres manager Bud Black said.

The likely candidate to fill Iguchi’s spot is Craig Stansberry of Triple-A Portland, who is on the 40-man roster. Stansberry is hitting .232 for the Beavers.

Not exactly a ton of other options… Edgar Gonzalez is a subpar 2B, IIRC. Matt Antonelli is hitting .172/.307/.271 at AAA.
