Stairs and Moyer reportedly on deck for Phillies broadcast team

As Ruben fights the urge to offer each of them a 2-year major league deal…

Matt Stairs and Jamie Moyer are expected to be in the television broadcast booth for Philadelphia Phillies games this season, according to one report.

Dennis Deitch of the Delaware County (Pa.) Daily Times reported the news on Twitter. He also said it’s possible the former Phils players could platoon as analysts, each taking a few innings.

Has a broadcast team ever suited up to play some games for a team?

Jonathan Broxton has retreated into his underground bunker. He missed the last two words of the headline.

I am not looking forward to Matt Stairs doing baseball broadcasts. He seems to be a lot more interested in hockey than baseball.

Matt Stairs looks like James Gammons sounded in Major League. I wonder if he sounds the same, too.

Well played.

Although who's going to pinch-hit for Moyer with Stairs already in the game? or maybe Stairs ends the game before that anyway.

Well, that cinches it. With Moyer now officially retired, every MLB player in now younger than me.

Stairs only broadcasts innings pitched by righties.

Wow, Stairs lasted until he was 43.

"The Phillies look just terrible today, Jamie."

"Screw it, Matt, I'm going in!"

Strasburg is... looking towards the press booth. Yes! He is calling out Matt Stairs! He's calling out Matt Stairs! By god! We haven't seen this since the nWo called out Larry Zybsko, but it appears, yes indeed, that business is about to pick-up!

OK, so I'm not the only one. I glanced at this headline on my phone initially(I'm nearly 50 and can't see very well) and thought holy cr*p Amaro has done it again, he's got Moyer and Stairs coming to camp.

I've reached a point in my life where all of my dreams and fantasies about how my life will turn out are truly that, dreams and fantasies. I'm hoping I can fast forward the transition part, better known as the crisis, and get to the acceptance part as quickly as possible.

i haven't followed TNA since about a month after hogan got there, and i've really been tuned out of WWE since HHH and cm punk shook hands a couple months after 'hey colt cabana'.

that basically means that i've missed the entirety of bryan daniel bryan's best work in WWE, but on the whole, i really haven't missed watching wrestling very much at all.

Paul Heyman's facial expressions are America's most glorious natural resource, and I guess the Grand Canyon would be #2.
