Taiwan Provides What Might Be The Most Awkward First Pitch In Baseball History

Possibly NSFW?

Yoga “goddess” Yan shows off her flexible talents before the game between the Lamigo Monkeys and Brother Elephants and quickly devolves it into one big strip tease. I feel it deserves recognition as the oddest because you never really know what’s coming or where she is going with her routine. At first I thought she was going to throw the ball backwards, but by the end I was expecting it to shoot out of her like a cannon. The worst part is how she totally woofs the pitch part of her routine.

If I’m not mistaken, I believe I saw David Wells attempt the same feat before a game in 1998. But then he threw a perfect game, so who am I to judge?

Love how the player gets a high five from his teamate at the end of it all.

The guy who humped her is the Asian Jose Canseco.

That wasn't a particularly impressive performance. Was the home team too cheap to rent the woman a pole?

I was hoping for something like the banana show described in Swimming to Cambodia. Oh well, maybe next time.

The uniforms would be fine for the Leopards or Jaguars, for example. Monkeys? No.

They're banned by the Giants.

Love that ending, but she throws like a girl.

I thought it was jazzy, though I was expecting a better throw.

RIP Spalding Gray. Quite a career.

I'm guessing I'm the only one who cares, but they're not the Brother Elephants anymore; they are the Brothers.

Extreme flexibility kind of grosses me out. Sorry, extremely flexible people.

The actual worst / best part is that, the guy that caught the ball and then hugged her ( one of their star player) when he hugged her, look closely......

Suffice to say that his wife was not amused (she said it to a news paper too.). (

btw, the announcers caught it almost immediately. he said after the hug that "Lin hugged her softly... or was it "hard"ly? I mean his baseball bat is hard of course." (yes its the same guy that announced that crazy Manny Ramirez Homerun call)

She was even better than that Romanian gymnast, but the guy who caught the ball was no comedian.
