Taking Back the Ballparks - Braves voting thread

Not surprisingly, there weren’t a lot of suggestions for the Braves new park in the wilds of Cobb County.

Choose 1:

A) The Battery
B) Cobb Stadium
C) Hank Aaron Field
D) Peachtree Park

But I reserve the right to change my vote later if something else emerges as the clear competitor for keeping C from winning. Nothing against Hank, who is a legend, but I HATE naming stadiums after former players.

Same rationale as Baldrick. So even though I nominated Peachtree Park, I'm not voting for it (right now).

If Cobb wins I am going to start calling it Ty Cobb Stadium just because of that.

I didn't read the nominating thread and was confused why people wanted to name it after Ty. Yeah he's from Georgia but so what? I forgot that it was the county name.

Anyway...C. While I share concerns about naming it after players or people in general Hank is a great legacy to have and at the risk of being macabre he's old enough that he's unlikely to do something to sour his name.

Due to the holiday season (and an entry error on my part), this has been back-burnered for a few weeks. We'll leave it open for voting through the end of Wednesday.

In a narrow vote, Cobb Stadium edges Hank Aaron Field.

We'll begin our final stadium next week.
