Taking Back the Ballparks - Diamondbacks voting thread

The nominating thread produced a number of suggestions, but no clear consensus.

We’re left with a half-dozen choices. Choose one.

1) Camelback Grounds
2) Palo Verde Park
3) Saguaro Blossom Field
4) Sonoran Grounds
5) Sonoran Reach
6) Southwest Park

Up next: Taking aim at Target.

At the risk of vote-splitting, I'll vote for #5 Sonoran Reach.

1) Camelback Grounds, because you'd have to be a camel to want to walk out in the open on a typical Phoenix Summer day.

2) Palo Verde Park

4) Sonoran Grounds. Many solid choices here.

Saguaro Blossom Field.

You don't have to walk very far outside to get into the ballpark, and the roof is almost always closed during the summer. It's actually very pleasant inside (at least from a weather perspective - the seats are pretty bad).

Maine-style voting:

Sonoran Grounds
Sonoran Reach
Palo Verde Park
eh, the others

Sonoran Grounds

(If it makes a difference, I would happily switch mine to 'Grounds'.)

Voting will end Wednesday.

Sonoran Grounds.

In the battle of names-that-are-okay-but-not-quite-right, it now strikes me that "grounds" is particularly ill-fitting for an airplane hangar. So...

Palo Verde Park. I guess.

Since I nominated it, I guess I'll cast my ballot for Palo Verde Park.

As is common with these mid-term (summer) elections, turnout was fairly low for this one. Sonoran Grounds is our winner.

We're down to seven ballparks. The Twins will be next on the clock, starting Monday.
