Taking Back the Ballparks - Orioles voting thread

Much to my surprise, there was some debate over the proper name for the ballpark in Baltimore. We all agreed that the existing parts are just fine, but there was some argument over which is the best name for the place.

Here are the choices:

A) Camden Yards
B) Oriole Park
C) Oriole Park at Camden Yards

I’d like to think you won’t require me to tip the electoral scales here and make the right decision.

We’ll vote on Colorado soon.

was it OPACY from the start? I seem to remember that is was just CY at the beginning. When did the add the OPA?

OK--wiki answers my question:
Former Orioles owner Eli Jacobs favored naming the new field Oriole Park, while then-Maryland Governor William Donald Schaefer favored Camden Yards. After considerable debate a compromise was reached to use both names

Non Oriole-related, but I'd like to alert our other panelists to check their emails.

I've lived in Baltimore since 05 and I have never heard anyone local refer to it as anything other than a play on Camden Yards (Camden, The Yards).

That's the name for it.

C because a truly great team should have its team name on its house. Plus I like the insider joke of pronouncing it "Opacky."

Camden Yards carries the day, suggesting all is right with BTF.

Colorado goes on the clock shortly.
