Taking Back the Ballparks - Tigers voting thread

I didn’t sense a lot of consensus on the name, though I’d peg Tiger Stadium as the favorite going into the vote. The absence of consensus has resulted in a full plate of offerings, including the current moniker.

If you prefer Tiger, choose the letter and the number.

A) Comerica park
B) Grand Circus Field
C) Kitty Corner
D) Motor City Stadium
E) Motown Field
F) Tiger
  1) Field
  2) Stadium

Voting is now open.

Upon completion, we'll head to South Florida, where we ought to be able to get a good seat this year.

F

Not terribly happy with naming it after an old stadium, but I don't like any of the alternatives.

Tiger Field. "Field" sounds like a ballpark. A lot of teams throughout the 20th century built their grand new facilities and called them "Stadium" to show that they were grand new facilities in comparison to the rickety ballparks they were in before. But now I think we want the opposite. The football stadium can be the giant monolith.

F-1

I thought I'd say Tiger Stadium, but then I thought they couldn't go entirely back to what it was. Tiger Field sounds nice.

That was my way of thinking as well.

Can I vote for F if I'm ambivalent about 1 vs 2? Count my vote for F and an abstention for the followup vote.

Crispix convinced me.

F-1.

I still like Jungaleers Lair, but Tiger Stadium is the least worst of the official choices.

Voting, such that it is, ends tonight.

My preference is Tiger Park, which incorporates the non-terrible part of the current name and doesn't encroach on the great old stadium's name. But, lacking that option, I'll go with Tiger Field.

OK, the tie has been broken.

Tiger Field it is.

Next up, sometime in the coming weeks, is Miami.

Wait - didn't we do the Marlins a little bit ago? Cascadia Field won for them, right?

I know they share a lot of the same letters, but Marlins and Mariners are still two different teams.
