“He fell about 40 feet onto concrete,” Granata said.

How'd ya like to be one of the kids watching your dad trying to be "cool" on the escalator, and....?

Not until after he landed.

$16 of beer was suspected to be involved.

Lightweight.

He's really lucky that the only thing he broke was his leg after a 40-foot plunge onto concrete.

Considering the accident, I'm guessing his head broke the fall.

Should we count it by minutes or by days on when the lawsuit will begin?

But what will the Rays sue him for?

Dirtying their floor? Ambulance fee?

Damn, I hate it when Darwinistic principles don't completely fulfill their prophecy and idiots like this survive and continue to breed. Oh well, if he procreates at least my kids will have his kids to pick up their trash in the next 20 years....

Here's hoping you slip and fall in wet, rotting garbage. A face full of maggots, if we're lucky.

WTF kind of thing is this to say? If anyone doesn't deserve to be an influence on children, it's you.

Yes. A guy at Miller park found that out the hard way a few years ago. Think he a coworker of one of the BBTF brethren actually.

So he should have his kids taken away?

I do love the internet where people get to make summary judgement based on a sentence or two of other people's summary judgements of others based on limited information. It is like the circle of life.

I didn't make a summary judgment. I was saying that if one believes, as Hugh apparently does, that people deserve to die in order to protect future generations from stupidity, what he said qualifies as just as stupid as what the guy in the article did. I personally don't wish death on anyone or believe that Hugh's children should be taken away. I was merely pointing out that if his position is followed to its conclusion, he is just as unqualified to have kids as he says the guy in the article is.

Good memory.

I was at that game, actually. The Primate in question is Vincennes.

JoeHova, Hugh and McCoy should all have their children taken away. For that matter, so should I, even though I don't have any.

I once went to Tropicana with some family. My sister nearly threw up going up the escalators.

Needless to say, I think I should send this article to her.

Well this tears it. I am staying off escalators, any more. If I get tickets in the upper deck at the Ballpark again, I'm rappelling down after the game.

40-feet? Damn. He's lucky he didn't tear loose any arteries and bleed out, even without thinking about the blunt trauma.

Generally speaking that last statement would be a perfect opening to snark about the Rays but alas they are good now.
