Finally, the signing we've been waiting to hear about.

Oh's second season wasn't nearly as smooth … His strikeout total plummeted

Strikeouts are boring anyway. I want to see some leaping catches at the wall.

Oh really.

Yu next?

Too expensive. Screw Yu.

No, no, Hu hasn't played for years. We're talking about Yu. And Oh.

Watt

But, Watt really did play 2b.

Oh's two seasons in St. Louis were remarkably divergent.

In 2016 he was incredible, one of the top bullpen arms in the game:
1.92 ERA/2.13 FIP, 0.916 WHIP, 11.6 K/9, only 15 unintentional walks in 80 innings, only 5 homers allowed, 19-for-22 in save opportunities after he became closer in July, and nearly 3 bWAR (which ranked fifth among all MLB relievers).

In 2017, he was terrible:
4.10 ERA/4.44 FIP, 1.399 WHIP(!), 10 homers allowed in fewer than 60 innings, just 8.2 K/9, and a negative bWAR. His one distinction in 2017 is having more intentional than unintentional walks (9 IBB out of 15 BB total).

I loved him in 2016 and was excited to see a full season of him as closer in 2017, but he allowed runs in each of his first three appearances, which set the tone for a disappointing season.

Texas needs to bring back Darvish and Dillon Gee for a Yu-Gee-Oh game.

This is one of my favorite currently active nicknames. It's a pity it doesn't really work as well it should, based on performance.

It's certainly better than the alternatives, S-Oh and Oh-ey.

"Stone Buddha" is darn good, too.

If he pitches like he did in 2016 (and in Japan and Korea) then both will, again, be fitting.

The stone Buddha was impacted by by the ball last year - if I remember the discussions he couldnt get his slider to bite like it did the year before. Maybe the balls in Texas will feel better to him - you don’t just get Oh, you also get his Tonto named Eugene who translates for him. Eugene was a cult favorite in STL
