The Beachy Review: Big Screen Reviews From The Big Leagues

As soon as Michael Weldon gives me a ghoulish green light on The Psychotronic Encyclopedia of Film Reviewers...Brandon Beachy gets added!

As you know, I underwent season ending surgery back in June. As a result of staying behind to do my physical therapy while the team goes on the road, I now have a little more free time than I am used to this time of year. This abundance has given me the opportunity to spend more time on a few of my hobbies, most notably, watching and attending movies.

Watching movies has been something I’ve really enjoyed for as long as I can remember. Pretty dorky I know, but even my pursuit in college to study law was rooted back to watching Matlock and Law & Order with my Mom. Anyway, I was approached by someone from the PR department a couple of weeks ago with the idea of blogging reviews of some of the movies I was watching.

Since I already did a mini version of that occasionally via Twitter, I figured it couldn’t hurt and would only give me more reason to waste time watching movies. So, “why not?” Please remember that these are just my opinions, and while my taste in movies is impeccable, you may somehow have differing views. This is just for fun and to give me something else to do with my free time as I recover and rehab, so take what I have to say with a grain of salt.

Dark Knight Rises gets 4 beachballs. I can't decide if beachballs is brilliant or embarrassing.

If I had one complaint from this otherwise very entertaining movie, it would be the voice of Bane. I found it to be ridiculous and a little distracting.

The first rule of amateur web film criticism is that the word is spelled rediculous.

Fire that ghostwriting intern asap.

He's no Gregg Zaun.

I had no problem with Bane's voice, nor did I find it distracting. I found a lot of the plot holes and script goofiness to be distracting.
