The best MLB ballpark giveaways for 2018: Look at each team’s best free stuff - CBSSports.com

Want.

Kansas City Royals
The Royals generally have a strong promotional schedule and we can almost always find a good one related to the ever-lovable George Brett. How about this one? On May 19 vs. the Yankees, it’s a George Brett bobblehead. I mention the Yankees, because it’s not just any Brett bobble. It’s a pine tar bobblehead:

I go to all the Whitesox Saturday games. This is usually the giveaway day that is the best. I have always given the giveaways to my friends, but this year I am planning to sell them on Ebay just to see how much I can get. Now; is it better to do it one at a time, or make a season end package at the end of the season and auction it as a "Package to give all your family and friends Whitesox stuff for Christmas" special?

My favorite part of the pine tar saga is that Gaylord Perry grabbed the bat and hurried it off the field to conceal the evidence.

Giants:

On June 24, the giveaway is a mini-statue of "Mount Crushmore."

It's a pretty good bet that Willie Mays, Willie McCovey and Barry Bonds are 75 percent of Mount Crushmore (the exact names aren't yet available). This is the anniversary of the move to San Fran, so any New York Giants (Mel Ott) are out. Matt Williams, Orlando Cepeda and Jeff Kent are some possibilities for the fourth guy.

Johnnie LeMaster? Buster Posey?

Angel Pagan. He's dreamy.

Will Clark.

edit: Whoever it is will be a poor 4th compared to the other 3. Kind of like Kris Kristofferson to Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings.

obviously it would be Cepeda, who rightly or not is HOF

I think it's Cepeda too, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's Posey. Clark is probably most deserving, though I think he has no chance. Given the huge gap between 3 and whoever is 4, it really should be limited to 3, unless you include Ott.

Rick Reuschel? Pablo Sandoval?

hmm, that does make sense. gotta have someone the kids can relate to, and he seems on a HOF path especially with the ringzz.

I'm switching my pick to Posey.

Seriously, no jokes about the Cardinals giving away a Rubber?

I was hoping to see some more unusual & interesting stuff here, but it's a list that's mostly bobbleheads. To me, they're kind of like Hummels for sports fans.

I tend to like more functional items, and apparel.
