More teams should share their pitches.

I'd love to see more of the pitchbooks, especially from the finalists. Good hustle by the Reds, even if Ohtani hits just his 20th %tile projections he's going to be a middle of the rotation pitcher who bats well enough to be a regular pinch hitter... and only costs the rookie salary.

Yes please! As someone who works in design/marketing, it would be pretty neat to see how they packaged and messaged their pitch. The Reds' presentation looks understated but very professional. The teams really had to straddle the line between pushing the envelope and narrative vs Ohtani's cultural sensibilities. Understated and professional was probably the safest way to go for the team.

I love seeing stuff like this. I wish more of Scott Boras’s Pitch binders found their way into public viewing too, just for the shiny audacity.

Boras binders are an amusing display of cherry picking stats to show his players in the best light. I doubt there is anyone left in a baseball front office who is actually persuaded by them, but I guess his target is the owner.

Nice to see other industries sweat over the same kinds of things when trying to attract new business so to speak.
