The Eddie Kranepool Society: WHAT’S THE FREQUENCY SNY?

Steve Keane sits down to watch some SNY…and almost Puigs-up his Christmas dinner!

There is not one host on the network that I care to watch. Garry Apple is a stone cold Highlander rooter and a three time loser on NY television. My boy Yaloff puts me in a trance with his near monotone voice and his clueless insight. The Daily News Live show should come with a disclaimer like at the Coney Island Freak Show as I don’t know what’s more disturbing Bill Madden’s circa 1972 Robert Hall suits or the grotesque dome and hideous moustache of Bob Raismann? Berthium hates the Mets from his ESPN days and the rest of this piss poor cast is non-discript.

...Where is coverage of Winter League Baseball? Why not have a live call in show? How about hiring anchors who are actually alive? Make a deal with ESPN for the rights to Home Run Derby. Give Petey his own show kind of a Dominican Joe Franklin Show. How about a show that features Mets players of the past and by past I don’t mean the 1986 Mets. A kind of Where Are They Now. I want to know what Don Bosch, Ken Boswell, Wayne Garrett and Duffy Dyer are up to these days. How about a reality show that features Keith Hernandez trying to find his way home after a night on the town?

No, I'm sorry, if it had real anchors and content unrelated to the '86 Mets, it wouldn't be SNY anymore. I'm already too used to it.
