The LoHud Yankees Blog: Yankees announce some Stadium details

Mostly fluff, but a few interesting bits:

Approximately 70% of the newly constructed concession areas in Yankee Stadium will have cooking capability – almost twice the 40% standard for new ballpark construction and five times the 14% that existed in the original Yankee Stadium.

[...]

Stadium Debuts:
o Brother Jimmy’s BBQ (A personal favorite of mine)
o Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee
o Garlic Fries stand, a staple of West Coast ballparks
o Highlanders traditional ballpark food with a New York flair, including hot dogs with sauerkraut and “pushcart” onions
o Lobel’s of New York
o Moe’s Southwest Grill
o Pepsi Cola Products, including Lipton Iced Tea, Tropicana Lemonade and Gatorade
o Tommy Bahama’s Bar serving mixed drinks

[...]

The Yankees continue to offer exceptional value on food and merchandise. They are offering a $3 hot dog, a $3 soft drink and a $6 beer. Traditional Stadium fare, such as hot dogs, peanuts, popcorn, sausages and Cracker Jack, remain the same price as last season.

I can’t wait to see if they try to pull off selling Cocktail Weenies as a “$3 Hot Dog”

Will they let you 'carry-in' food?

Other than the quality of the meat items, brats, hot dogs, etc. and the ability to have a beer vendor nearby, I don't even care about the other offerings at any ballpark.

I'm astonished at the number of people who choose to stand in line as long as they do for ballpark fare.

Garlic Fries are an excellent addition.

Dunkin' Donuts coffee is a spectacular add. I heart coffee.

Two things here: Doesn't "continue" imply that at one point they did?

And two, what is that $6 beer at Yankee Stadium- Keystone?

Brother Jimmy's?? What the #### is that ####? Next thing you know they will let you wear untucked shirts and cargo shorts with flip flops.

Agree about the coffee. Nothing helps warm you up on a cold day (or night) game like a cup of joe.

As far as garlic fries... you get tired of the smell quickly.

They will have zeppole? That is fricking awesome.

Every stadium really, really needs to have some form of fried dough. Fried dough is the bomb.
