The swing tweak that may have fixed Jose Peraza

How does such an obvious flaw not get fixed in the minor leagues?

Any player can hit like that over 42 pa. That "hot" streak has gotten him all the way up to a 63 ops+ on the season.

While comment #1 is surely correct, if you click through to the full story, the video clip of Peraza's old swing is maybe the worst approach I've ever seen from a modern-day non-pitcher. The new approach has to be better, if simply for aesthetic reasons alone.

Maybe a 20 year old kid who hits .339, and is showing up on top prospect lists, doesn't have as much patience for watching video as a 23 year old kid, who is seeing his chance at big major league payday getting quashed by Scooter Gennett and Zack Cozart.

Im not sure his final approach to all this is any better. He's now incorporating all three elements he's tried, he still pivots the front foot a little but now he has the rear leg back step and the high front kick...

Possible nit: Cozart is FA at the end of the year, so Peraza's chance at the majors isn't gonna be quashed by him. Scooter's got three years left so quash away!
