Tom Grieve honored for time with Texas Rangers at Bragan gala

Tom Grieve’s name and baseball accomplishment don’t carry the same weight as past Lifetime Achievement Award recipients by the Bobby Bragan Youth Foundation, which includes Willie Mays, Hank Aaron and last year’s honoree, Earl Weaver.

The ultimate organization man. Player, general manager and broadcaster. Regrettably, not terribly distinguished in any one role. His TV work, however, has rapidly improved.

What is it that Father William says? People who do one thing extremely well tend to be overvalued, and people who do several things well, but not great, tend to be undervalued? So I guess this means that Tom Grieve is a hall-of-fame caliber baseball man!
