The Blue Jays didn't call up any of the AA trio?

I know Guerrero is on the AFL roster.

Did the Nationals call up Robles? He's a guy I'm eager to see more of. Supposed to be a fantastic CF with a good bat.

Robles has been a little slow to shake off the rust - or has lingering effects from his injury - and is only .272/.349./.377 at Syracuse, although he did go 4-for-5 last night. Might still be called up after the International League season ends, but it wouldn't be surprising for the Nationals to prioritize limiting his service time.

He's only got 25 days so far. Even if he gets 30 days this year, he's still way short of super-two.

With Harper leaving, they need to find out if he is their starting CF for next year.

Touki Toussaint is one of those guys I've heard & read about for so long that I guess I'm implicitly rooting for him.

The Jays are being very patient with the super-kids (Vlad Jr, Bo Bichette) as they want 7 years of control instead of 6. Jansen came up already and has pretty much taken over catching. Sean Reid-Foley came up and had a couple of bad starts and today a great one so odds are he isn't going to see AAA again either.

Or they plan to keep him down for just over a month next year to completely reset his clock. Given the disaster the 2018-19 offseason is starting to look for the Nats, they might not want to do that to give their fans something to look forward to.

With Scherzer/Strasburg/Rendon/Soto/Eaton still on the roster, I would think they shouldn't play those games. I assume they plan to try and win the division next year.

Edit: his 2017 season is crazy. BRef thinks it was worth 5.2 WAR, but FG has it at 3.5.

Who. I'm trying to figure out from context and failing.

He is talking about buxton, topic of another thread.

I think it's Byron Buxton. Conflating two threads?

Cheers and sodas, jmp.

Sorry for the cross post :-)

The Nationals are calling up Victor Robles tomorrow, along with along with Joe Ross, who is coming back from July 2017 Tommy John Surgery.

All three of the "Sons of Stars" (Biggio, Bichette, Guerrero) are going to the AFL this month.
Biggio is going to be trying the outfield, even though he was the Rookie of the Year AND MVP of the Eastern League as primarily a second baseman.
With Devon Travis and Lourdes Gurriel Jr at 2B, I guess they want to open up his options.
