Twins to watch Monday’s game together

This time, when the White Sox host the Tigers for a makeup of a regular-season rainout—a contest that will decide whether the Twins will have to head to Chicago for a one-game tiebreaker—the skipper will be glued to the TV.

And he won’t be the only one. The rest of his team will be sitting and watching right alongside him.

The Twins will gather as a team at the Metrodome on Monday afternoon to watch the contest, which is expected to be broadcast on ESPN2 at 1:05 p.m. CT. The impact of the game is quite clear for the Twins, who head into that contest with a half-game lead over Chicago in the division.

I hope they have cameras in there if the White Sox lose. The idea of grown men starting to spray each other with champagne after spending two or more hours watching a game on TV would be priceless.

Anyone know when tickets will go on sale for the playoff game tomorrow if necessary? I can't find the info anywhere on MLB.com or the White Sox site.

So today I learned that Freddy Garcia is back pitching in the majors.

It's raining here in Chicago right now. Overcast all day today. It could continue throughout the afternoon, but I'm not a weatherman.

The Twins might be sitting around in front of that TV for a while - it's pouring rain in Chicago right now. God just doesn't want that game to happen.

Immediately after today's game, if the White Sox win.

Here's an idea - hop on a bus, and play it in Milwaukee...

Don't worry, Moses. You don't need to be a weatherman to know which way the rain falls.

Or if they win. Seeing Julian Tavarez cry after the 1997 World Series is still one of the funniest things I have seen in baseball.

I can't imagine how happy The Tig must be about this delay.
