I'm a pretty big believer in CJ, but yeah, that statement coming from him of all people made me chuckle.

Kevin Goldstein, we all know he's got more tools than Home Depot... but does he have the mental aptitude to succeed? I mean, can he overcome all those personality problems, all those intangibles, all those chemistry issues that lead him to just coast along? Give us your expert opinion, Kevin. Hit us.
I'm also very skeptical of this player's early success because of the PCL inflation.

Given that "the pace" has them winning more than 130 games and scoring in excess of 1000 runs, I'd say that the answer is "no". But maybe I'm small-minded.
Plus, who knows if Conor Jackson will start a Luis Gonzalez/Jeff Kent-esque war against the youngsters. Maybe he's a secret 40-year-old like Greg Oden.
That is the rest of the NL's only hope!
