USA Today: Nightengale: Three men have peeked into Bonds’ other side

“Oh, the good life, full of fun seems to be the ide…oh, shoot…even Tony Bennett threw up.

Jeffrey Rosenthal 49, CEO of Rose Advertising who originated the idea of placing ads on grocery carts in 1984, has photos of Bonds at his house with former California governor Pete Wilson at a fundraising dinner; he won’t permit them to be published. Bonds appears to be much lighter in build in the photos.

“I’d rather keep those pictures to myself. That was a long time ago. It might be misunderstood,” Rosenthal says. “I just don’t understand all of this media scrutiny. Who could live up to the scrutiny?

“It’s all about trying to find out whether Barry Bonds did anything. But Barry has never been convicted of anything or ever been arrested. … Wilt Chamberlain bragged about sleeping with 20,000 women. Mickey Mantle was an alcoholic. But with Barry, it’s not a level playing field. I’m embarrassed with the way he’s treated. We should be celebrating, not condemning, this unbelievable accomplishment.”

Where do everyone's kids want to watch a movie and even have sleepovers with "Uncle Barry," shrieking with giggles and laughter as he chases them around the house?

Hmmm. . . now what could an evil mind do with those statements?

Wait, is Pete Wilson the Democrat who ran for President and later became Mayor of Oakland?

Peeking into Bonds' other side sounds pretty revolting.

Wait, is Pete Wilson the Democrat who ran for President and later became Mayor of Oakland?

Jerry Browne was the Democratic governor from '75 to '83 who ran for President in '76, '80 and I think even '92. He later became Mayor of Oakland.

Pete Wilson was governor after Browne from '91 to '99 and is a Republican. Before being governor Wilson was SD's mayor and a US Senator. He also ran for President once ('96 maybe) and nobody paid attention.

Just what I was thinking, JRVJ. Back in the old days of the board, Mike Piazza would have had a field day with the title of this article.

That was Jerry Brown, man. Browne was the infielder.

Both guess were mentioned in different California Uber Alles versions.

He had another job in between, too.

Nowadays he's California Attorney General.

Does Barry live on Neverland Ranch?

Bad as he was, the Bearded Wizard did make me laugh during the "how did you get your nickname" thread.

"I am a wizard. I have a beard. Behold."

He should have his shrieking, giggling kids taken away.

It's well-established that Barry Bonds likes children, and this article points out that he also has some wealthy friends.

I'm not sure what that has to do with anything, though.

Barry Bonds should have his haves taken away.
