WaPo: Samuel L. Jackson congratulates Nats first-round draft pick Lucas Giolito

Sure, Giolito’s uncle Mark Frost was the co-creator of Twin Peaks.  But are we just supposed to forget that he was also the co-creator of On The Air?  This could really go either way.

Highly regarded Nats first-round pick Lucas Giolito is a Southern California kid, and his Hollywood connections aren’t a secret. [...]

His father, Rick Giolito, is an actor who had turns on “As The World Turns” and “Who’s The Boss” and is a producer. His mother, Lindsay Frost, has appeared in a handful of movies and TV shows, including “Lost,” “Without A Trace” and “Boston Legal.” His uncle, Mark Frost, co-created “Twin Peaks.”

Plus, his grandpa was on ‘Seinfeld.’

All of which meant that when Giolito signed with the Nats last week, the congratulations didn’t just come from high school teammates. Nope, it seems that Giolito is on a first-name basis with Samuel L. Jackson, who has a pet name for the 16th overall pick.

Plus, his grandpa was on ‘Seinfeld.’

Playing George Costanza's prospective father-in-law, Mr. Ross, for five episodes on "Seinfeld", for those that didn't follow all the links in TFA.
