Was Chrissy Teigen drunk during first pitch?

Chrissy Teigen was worried she’d throw a first pitch worse than 50 Cent before Tuesday night’s game at Dodger Stadium, but as usual, she wound up looking pretty good.

Not a bad first pitch and tackle at the end.

Chrissy Teigen's twitter is a lot of fun.

Also, she's stupid hot.

The Dodgers seem to have this happen a lot -- inebriated Hollywood celebs embarrassing themselves on the first pitch. The worst one was a game I was at a couple of years ago when Timothy Olyphant of Deadwood was absolutely high as a kite on something. Anyway, it was the highest I've ever personally seen someone act, and I've been around some crazy stuff in my day. Then they compounded the problem by doing a disastrous interview with him on the Jumbotron after his pitch.

I wonder if they get these people drunk in the Stadium Club before the game or what?

She was tweeting pictures of Margaritas her dad was making her before the game...not sure how much the stadium had to do with this. Although it's possible that even being celebrities, they can't afford more than 3 beers at stadium prices, and they give them unlimited amount of alcohol and they take advantage of it.

Googled it and I don't know if your radar is really sensitive or if mine has been dulled but Timothy looks completely fine.

Could be worse

Apparently not an Onion story.

Who cares?

4 I Googled it too and it's not quite as bad as I remember, although the search didn't turn up the interview I referred to which was particularly bad.

Well, if you read the politics thread you'd have learned about this a day ago. We're cutting edge over there.

The OTP thread also had a more informative article.

My girlfriend is a teacher and she goes back tomorrow, but the kids don't come until the 18th.

I don't know how anybody could watch that interview and thing it was anything other than awesome. But I've been a fan of Timothy Olyphant ever since The Girl Next Door. Also, I'm currently drunk.

What's the point of the article? Why ask if she was drunk, and then post per tweet where she says she's drunk?

To break the rule that says when a headline is a question, the answer is always "No?"

The pitch itself surpassed all my expectations. You could do much worse (I'm looking at you 50 Cent).

Drew Butera needs a personality transplant. His general lukewarmness towards Chrissy during the whole thing is an abomination.

You say that like it's a bad thing!

There are usually two first pitches at a Dodger game- a celebrityish person and some normal people from some local company or club. I'd like to see, say, the owners of the top five Cerritos Auto Square dealerships get really drunk and end up getting humped by the catcher, like that yoga woman from Taiwan a few weeks ago.

A friend on Facebook mentioned this week that kids in the neighborhood were coming back from the first day of school; she lives in Birmingham. Seems early as heck to me, too.

So she was actually introduced to the crowd as a "supermodel," is that something that is common?

Welp, there used to be a path from modeling to mainstream celebrity. Nowadays, actors and singers have taken over what "supermodels" used to do. (Which is funny, since, given that we're now willing to make people famous simply for being a teen mom or a funny redneck, you can't exactly say that this is because artists are "more talented.") If you look at the magazines at the supermarket checkout, they will now have celebrities on the cover, where they used to have models. And if I ask my friend (who is my source for this info) to name the top "fashion" models, neither you or I will have heard of them.

Still, insofar as the term means anything anymore, being on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue is pretty super for a swimsuit model.

Maybe it's to commemorate her husband John Legend's love of nutmeg.

Someone should track down Fred Norris and ask him; he's the authority on these things.

I don't know... I'm by no means a fashionista, and I probably couldn't name them blindly -- but if someone said "Miranda Kerr", I'd say "Victoria's secret model".... I think most people know who Kate Upton is... etc...

True, I guess, most of these names I guess I'd only know through whom they're dating - not because I follow TMZ or anything, but because it's virtually impossible not to learn these things if you spend any amount of time on the internet...

Right; you know the swimsuit/lingerie models, who are distinct from the fashion models. My (again, secondhand) understanding is that the '80s "supermodels" did all three of "high-fashion" modeling, "low-fashion" modeling like the swimsuit issue, and mainstream magazine covers. But now, those are three different groups of people. (And in the latter case, not "models" at all, but rather actors or singers.)

Gisele, Lima, and moss are still going strong. I will say that models are much more categorized than they used to be. you have your swimsuit models and then you have your lingerie models and then you have your magazine models.
