dual no hitter through 1

A PR win means the Puerto Ricans meet the Honkballers in the semifinals, giving the Dutch a decent shot at the championship game. (It's 0-0 after four.)

and it means we get to see the dr and japan that will be a good match up

well now its a dr rematch, either way should be some good games in the next round

I'm actually hoping for PR to pull this off. I'd be really happy with any of PR/DR/Honkbal winning, I don't want Japan to threepeat.

both japan and the dutch will have a fully rested pitching staff which gives them both an advantage, I think the DR is the only team with the depth to take them on

Yeah, the DR bullpen is pretty good. Lots of very hard throwers. I think Japan has to be the favorite thanks to being rested, but they and the Dominicans are 1A and 1B.

Huge out at 3rd.

That's a big insurance run.

Tying run at the plate. Time to be a hero, Eddie Rosario.

Japan v. PR, DR v. Holland. Should be really good games in San Fran.

I predict Japan vs. DR... which, I got to say, is probably the best match-up in the WBC that doesn't feature the USA.

Of course, the Netherlands have beaten the Dominicans before, and this year's Dutch team is better than the previous one...
