WBC News 2-23-09 along with Game Results

The link above brings the news that Corey Koskie is expected to be on the Canadian roster.

Javier Vazquez will pitch for PR.

So will JC Romero, despite the whole “Steroid Suspension” thing.

Ozzie Guillen likes the WBC.

Ryan Ludwick won’t play because (SHOCKER!), he wouldn’t be a starter.

Tommy Lasorda is touring the world promoting the WBC. Insert joke here.

GAME RESULTS:

The Dutch National team played to a 3-3 draw against the Woori Heroes of the Korean Baseball Organization.

The Korean team beat the KBO Hanwha Eagles 7-4, here is a badly translated version of the story.

The Exhibition schedule really picks up tomorrow, as China will take on Polk Community College, the Netherlands will face USF, Italy will face the Orioles and the Australians and Japanese will begin a short warm-up series.

Tommy Lasorda is dumber than a Pomeranian, a Pekingese, an Australian Cattle Dog, a Welsh Corgi, a Boston Terrier, a Tibetan Mastiff, a Labrador Retriever, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, a Chihuahua, and a Dogue de Bordeaux.
