This is maddening. What's an "on field delay" in this case?

Sho Nakata comes up with chance to tie it...

Yadier Molina arguing.

Grounder to 1st that the ump thought hit the hitter in the foot, with Yadier arguing the call.

EDIT: Coke to GB - I purposefully waited to respond expecting someone else to do so avoid losing a precious Coke...

Had I been drinking when I read "Kazuo Matsui: On Deck, Pinch Hitter" I would've done a spit take.

How do you miss a meatball like that?
   107. Gamingboy Posted: March 18, 2013 at 12:40 AM (#4390308)
Kazuo Matsui. And that was quick.

Those last two pitches to get Nakata were fantastic.

PR wins!

Well, so much for that comeback! Hooray, Japan loses! XD

We will have a new champ.

I am sad. And Ichiro probably has to buy a new TV.
   112. Weekly Journalist_ Posted: March 18, 2013 at 12:42 AM (#4390316)
All in all I'm not sure Japan was even the better team.

Puerto Rico, team of destiny?
   114. puck Posted: March 18, 2013 at 12:44 AM (#4390318)
Maybe the Honkballers caught the 30 for 30 on NC State's 1983 basketball title and are going to go all wolfpack on the DR.
   115. Tschingsch Posted: March 18, 2013 at 12:45 AM (#4390319)
Hopefully we'll have more Honkbal magic tomorrow night.

It'll be an all-Caribbean final. (and yes I know most of the Netherlands population lives in Europe, but the majority of their baseball players are Caribbean)

I look forward to an elderly Ichiro leading Japan to victory in 2017 to restore honor.

I said it a week ago...Puerto Rico has lost some star power but all their dudes can play.

Japan embarrassed themselves today with that clownshow.

Alao, kind of ironic that this is the worst team PR has fielded for the classic...at least by name recognition metric.

Among the best game of the WBC that was filled with epic games
   120. Tschingsch Posted: March 18, 2013 at 12:50 AM (#4390325)
This year has been great, only a handful of games that weren't exciting, with a lot of the "lesser" teams stepping up... and a rematch of the greatest game in the WBC's brief history tomorrow night.
   121. Jarrod HypnerotomachiaPoliphili(Teddy F. Ballgame) Posted: March 18, 2013 at 12:56 AM (#4390327)
The next two nights I'll be in front of the TV, so I promise not to ask for play by play again during this WBC. Viva el honkballers!
