I read somewhere that it was estimated it would be between 30-38K. Hardly a packed house, but not the gigantic empty chasm some of the haters were predicting.

I'd say less 'over eager' and more 'trying to win at RBI baseball by hammering on the 'b' button every pitch.' Just an ugly approach to hitting.

If their approach doesn't change, it'll be really hard for Japan to score a run in this game. There's almost no discipline shown by any of their hitters.

Okay, so, if Japan loses here, it'll be interesting to see if, in Japan, there's an effect like what happened in the 2004 Olympics. Something tells me there will be more MLB Japanese players going in 2017...

Harper has said he wants in already, and I think I saw Trout say he would have done it this year if not for the fact that this is going to be his first full MLB season (I think Harper might have had the same reason).
