WBC Update (10-3-12): Chooch, Morneau, Diamond and Yan Gomes

Yan Gomes will be playing for Team Brazil.

Carlos Ruiz will be playing for Panama at the qualifier next month, and Ruben Amaro says that he isn’t going to be stopping any players if they want to take part (Phillippe Aumont and Pete Orr may both be with Canada).

Justin Morneau and Scott Diamond are also looking forward to the WBC.

Not sure if I posted this before, but Andy Skeels, manager of the San Jose Giants, will be managing team New Zealand, AKA the “Diamondblacks”.

I got to see a couple Phillippe Aumont innings this year. Dude is HUGE, has a funky delivery, and wicked stuff. Looks like he'll be a good one.
