What new Mets regime sees in Matt Harvey for last ride | New York Post

Who doesn’t look good throwing in a gym during the off-season?

“We are really encouraged,” his agent, Scott Boras, said. “Matt was out at our sports fitness institute this past two weeks and the ball was really coming out of his hand at Matt Harvey levels of the past, so we’re really excited about what 2018 holds for him.”

They see someone they would like to get rid of ASAP.

Every time I get the urge to feel giddy about my team, the team across town reminds me the foundation that baseball teams build on are merely quicksand. Harvey was going to be the guy to supplant Jeter as the major sports star in the city. Harvey looked like the surest thing in 2014/2015. The bottom fell out fast.

Pitchers are never sure things.
