Why Are Americans Addicted to Baseball?

we have noticed that in our experience, it is very common for fans of Major League Baseball to wear caps or other apparel displaying team colors and logos (even when not engaged in
sports-related activity) and to gather in bars or other social settings when watching games.

You’ve got to hand it to those academics - they really don’t miss much.

Having to mention every obvious detail explicitly is an annoying byproduct of academics.

Actually, this article looks kind of interesing. Maybe they can explain why Amercians don't like soccer.

Soccer in Europe has some very cool jerseys. Barcelona, Celtic, Ajax, and any number of English sides have nice jerseys. If you watch Premier League matches, you will notice that the majority of fans are wearing their team's jersey. The number of fans wearing jerseys is stunning when compared to fans of the 4 major sports. But Premiership fans are just a bunch of fanboys according to CHB.

I don't really own too many things with a Red Sox logo. I have a hat and a t-shirt. I'm not about to go out and get a jersey. Halloween only comes once a year.

You and me both GGC. I find the fact so many grown men own and wear jerseys mindboggling. I would genuinely feel silly wearing one to a ballgame.
